An original idea by Paul Longthorpe the team provided design, install, maintenance and a front line support service for both BBC and non-BBC clients in the UK and overseas. The systems integration team oversaw medium size projects like:
•Broadcast TV and Radio studios, edit suites, radio OB vehicles, control rooms, post production areas
•RF Distribution ringmains, DTT, DSAT, dish installations, upgrades, design
•Infrastructure cable running, wiring services,
•AVID sales, installation and support
•Video Conferencing sales, installation and support across the whole BBC
•AV Presentation hire of sound, lighting and projection, conference facilities, (across UK)
•Procurement Pro AV and broadcast, VTR, non-linear, cameras, lighting
•Fibre Optic interfacing, cable installation, termination, testing
•Consumer AV stock of plasma, LCD, VCR, DTT and DSAT set top boxes
•Safety Testing PAT testing both UK and overseas, broadcast and domestic

The team comprised BBC qualified Broadcast Engineers had decades of experience in design and installation. The Engineers, Technicians and wireman were also Category 1 and 2 trained for visits to hostile overseas war-zone environments.
