TCP Smart Socket - Set Up
If you don’t want the rather involved hassle of setting up a Shelly then buying a simple controllable plug and socket system should be easier. Well, it mainly is except that the instructions are very scanty and miss out on significant internal methods. Their main website claims to give instructions but these are just downloads of the scant words that come with the device and they’ve been promising to upload videos for years but have never done that. Besides even I keep forgetting some of the basics which aren’t particularly user friendly (but don’t start me on they because I have an ongoing row with the hosting company of this website who now admit how dire their control panels are and again promise that it will be improved in 2022. Well Donald Trump will be flying over Battersea Power Station by then). Let’s have a look at these basics..
