How To Make A Casting Of An Object

A very patient two stage, step by step, guide with no nonsense. It should be easy and it is easy -although for a one off not particularly cheap. Don’t forget that you can colour the resin before you pour the copy. Obviously the larger the object the subtleties of what is described here become more significant. There are many many out there so browse away.  (Commercial YouTube 14min)

A dramatic action sculpture  (dare I say more attractive to the male fraternity -sexist beast that I am).  For a larger pic click here.

Face

Copy a real person’s face or any object with relief like baby’s feet. It takes three simple stages. However the one omission, which is acknowledged in the comments, is to put on face cream (or they say vaseline which needs good soap to get off) at stage 1. For a larger pic click here.

There are plenty more of these, like the bullet through the coke can, eagle hunting fish or various glowing volcanoes but they’re more tricky and I’m not so impressed with them. Do look out for the many different types of table lamp, the burning table or entire guitars made this way ! Happy hunting..
