According to Judith Goodman’s inspection of the census records:
“The Luxmore family lived at Frog Street, Bere Alston. Her father, John*, and brothers were all stone masons. He was living at Rose Cottages just before he died.”
“John deserted Ann in the 1850’s and we don’t know where he went or where he died.
By 1851 Ann and the children were living with her parents at Rose Cottages, Bere Alston.
By 1871 Ann lived at 1 Admiralty Street, East Stonehouse, Plymouth where she had a shop (address now demolshied).”
